Continuing from the end of the
previous post about Savannah, Kaleb's dad picked us up at the Baltimore airport a little after midnight, then Kaleb took the wheel to Ocean City, NJ, arriving around 3am.
The rest of the family arrived later that day. It was rainy and overcast at the start of the long Independence Day weekend. Still fun to be had, even if it wasn't warm enough to swim in the ocean:

The sun came out on the 4th of July, and the beach was packed!
Afterwards, we got ice cream from
TJ's, a local institution. The sky threatened to rain, but it was clear enough to enjoy a 4th of July fireworks display on the beach.

Alicia, Randy and the girls went home and the rest of us stayed a few more days. We enjoyed some uncrowded beach time and also checked out
Downtown Ocean City.

We returned to Kaleb's hometown in Lancaster County for the remainder of our trip, meeting up with his good friends at their houses or at restaurants.
Our flight home was uneventful. Dinner was grab-and-go sushi from BWI airport - wasn't bad.
We were able to select a Mustang rental for the drive home; it was interesting to see the logo brightly projected onto the ground from the side mirrors.
What's next? A week in Las Vegas! Stay tuned...
