- Getting there, my first day at Cruise360
- Radiance of the Seas ship inspection, trade show, Taste of Vancouver reception
- Nieuw Amsterdam ship inspection, heading back to YVR airport

Today was my first ship inspection of Cruise360, aboard Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas. I had done a ship inspection before on Carnival Miracle, so I knew what to expect this time, though it wasn't as organized. The cruise terminal was filled with passengers embarking and disembarking, so agents were escorted in small groups at a time to go through security.
We were given visitor badges and the opportunity to note down or take a picture of a piece of paper that had the open stateroom locations listed. I guess that's one way to save a tree.
Once on board, we were released to do our own self-guided tour, to meet at a set time for lunch in the main dining room. I only had an hour to run through the public areas and visit the suites. (one was closed from viewing as the guests had checked in earlier than expected) I've only included pictures from the Royal Suite as the other suites were smaller, less ornate versions of it. I must say that the Royal Suite bathroom was quite impressive!

That concluded the Radiance of the Seas ship inspection. We disembarked and returned to the conference center for the next keynote session. It included "afternoon tea". Non-stop eating!
The trade show was an opportunity to learn more about cruise products and destinations, plus pick up some swag.

One of the Vancouver vendors had Oculus Rift VR goggles for agents to try out. You can do it at home if you have Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, or other VR goggles. Here are some instructions to sample some of British Columbia's stunning landscape:

After the trade show (I did not partake in the edible swag), we were fed again at a cocktail reception hosted by various Vancouver travel entities. It was very well organized (four service lines plus separate beef carving and pasta stations) and the food was delicious!
Tomorrow, I go on a Holland America ship inspection, then high-tail it to the airport to catch a flight to Anchorage for the start of my Norwegian Sun Alaska cruise...stay tuned!
